There are actually many versions of the Last Blade, so far I've only played the Neo Geo Pocket version whose pics you'll see below. But there were actually releases for Neo Geo cartridge (remember Famicom - more commonly known as the Family Computer by Nintendo?), Sega CD, Dreamcast and the Playstation. If I get pics of each of the releases I'll post them here but for now enjoy the chibiness of Saitou.. err I mean Washizuka from Neo Geo Pocket release 2000! Notice how some of the characters below look like they're from Rurouken? Okina is a dead give away for one... There's the weasel somewhere and of course Saitou-san's likeness in Washizuka albeit *cough cough* cross scar on the cheek? LOL! Oh and I heard Moriyama was something of like a Kenshin? A child prodigy in Kenjutsu from the old miburo site... Although I'm not sure of how different the Pocket version is from the original Last Blade. Ah well Watsuki and many others like me used to love the game Samurai Spirits, but take note the game GnK was actually released after RK so that means that if there was any basis or borrowing, it would've been the game borrowing from the anime Rurouni Kenshin. Which reminds me there is a fighting game for RK, although it was not too great... Must get me a copy of that...

The picture to your right as of 01/12/06 was a newly released compilation of Neogeo classic by SNK. This game includes both Last Blade 1 and Last Blade 2! So I highly recommend getting it if you are a fan of Saitou or just 2D fighting games in general.
